Víctor Alejandro García Pérez (born October 1, 1975 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas) is a Mexican singer and actor. His father (Victor Garcia) was a sailor and considers his mother (Juana Pérez Sustaita) to be his source of inspiration. His grandfather was a singer and Víctor was compelled to follow his steps. As a teenager, he formed part of a musical group (Proyecto Malta) and practiced Lima lama martial arts. He dropped out of high school in his senior year because he wanted to dedicate himself fully to his singing career. He learned to play guitar and moved to Mexico City with some friends when he turned 18. In Mexico City he worked at the L’Canto bar and eventually was able to perform there as a singer.
